Met Éireann issues weather warning to counties including Mayo

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow snow and ice warning for several counties, including Mayo. The warning applies to Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, and is in effect from 11am today (Monday, January 5) until 9am tomorrow (Tuesday, January 6).

Met Éireann has warned that wintry showers, with sleet and some snow accumulations, are expected, along with sharp frost and icy conditions.

Potential impacts include hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.
