The album is now on sale and can be found in Lofty's Bar in Westport.
A bar in West Mayo has recently released an extraordinary album which will see all profit donated to St Brendan’s of Mulranny, the chosen charity partner.
Lofty’s Bar located on the North Mall in Westport often has live music in the pub and across the year, an open mic night took place with opportunities to record in a studio offered as prizes. While the recordings were ongoing, Martyn Loftus of Lofty’s Bar decided to make an album. The album is made up of 15 songs.
Nine of which are from regular performers such as Kian Chanter, Amy McLoughlin and Tom McGinty while three songs are from Ceol Caillte, Alannah Cannon and Molly O’Grady who were contestants that participated during the open mic nights. Two songs are from Martyn Loftus himself who is known locally as 'Lofty' and the final song on the album is made up of Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah with everyone from the album singing different pieces. Also on the album are songs from Cathal Owens, Joanne Geraghty and Stella’n loft who have all written their own original songs.

The album, which has turned out to be an amazing piece of work with it being on sale now for €12.99, with all profit made going to St Brendan’s of Mulranny. Next year it’s hoped that another album will be created while raising funds for a different chosen cause.
The album ‘Lofty’s Live 2025’ is available online at https://www.loftysbarlivevenue.info/ or you can purchase an album at Lofty’s Bar, North Mall, Westport. A launch of the album will take place in Lofty’s Bar on January 22 where all the artists on the album will perform their songs live.
