Iconic Mayo Clock Tower now displaying correct time

After some months of displaying the incorrect time, Westport’s historical landmark, The Clock Tower, is now displaying the correct time.

Mayo County Council confirmed to The Mayo News that The Clock Tower was repaired and serviced on August 27 and 28 by Canavan Clock Makers Ltd. The cost for repair and service of the clock was €900, including VAT.

Nicknamed “The Four Faced Liar”, Westport’s Clock Tower, erected in 1947, is located at Cahernamart in the centre of the town.
