Suspected cocaine found in a cigarette packet in Westport
Gardaí in Mayo seized cocaine, cannabis and MDMA in a number of searches which took place in Westport over the St Patrick's weekend.
Members of the Mayo Drugs Unit conducted an operation in Westport throughout the St Patrick's weekend where a number of premises were searched under warrant.
During the course of the operation several seizures of cocaine, cannabis and MDMA were made.
This vehicle was also stopped on The Fairgreen in Westport and following a search, eight deals of suspected cocaine were recovered concealed in a cigarette box.

In a post on An Garda Síochana Mayo Facebook page a spokesperson stated: “Cocaine does not come with a warning label attached, but of course it is every bit as deadly and can result in impaired decision making, intoxicated driving, debt and drug related intimidation.
“Drug seizures like this help to protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the criminality associated with it.”
