Former Taoiseach visits Mayo woman's 100th birthday

Mamie Marley celebrated her 100th birthday recently and former Taoiseach Enda Kenny stopped by for a visit.

The first ever - and to date only - Taoiseach from Mayo, Enda Kenny, paid a visit to Mamie Marley in Glenhest. She celebrated her 100th birthday on last Wednesday and was delighted to see the Islandeady man, who has been a long standing friend of the family. 

Mamie had a great welcome for Enda, as she has known him since he was a little boy as he is a friend of the family and used be down in the house a lot.
