SPORTING history was made on Sunday when Virginia and Kayla Conway became the first mother and daughter combination to play together for Westport Rugby Club.
The women in blue took on OLBC at Corinthian Park in Galway and put in a strong performance to come away with a 20-0 win.
Virginia, the Westport captain, played at first centre and her daughter Kayla came on in the second half to partner her mother at second centre.
