Mayo soccer player Conor Walsh has been selected by Ireland Under-21 coach Jim Crawford for the upcoming Euro 2027 Under-21 Championships in Albania and Serbia.
Crawford has pulled together a strong 23-man squad for the crucial run of games as Ireland aim to keep themselves within reach of Slovakia ahead of the final round of qualifiers, where they face the second-placed side.
The former Rice College student has been capped at every underage level since under-15 for his country, with Crawford handing him his Under-21 debut between the posts in November 2024 in a 3-2 win over Sweden.
The youthful net-minder made the switch from Sligo Rovers to Shelbourne at the start of the 2026 League of Ireland campaign, where he has operated as back-up to the 2024 champion's first-choice shot-stopper, Wessel Speel.
The proud Westport native has also played for Finn Harps and Wexford FC on loan since his Bit O' Red debut in 2022.
Tallaght Stadium is the venue for the first qualifier for the Boys in Green, when they play host to Moldova on Thursday, March 26, while they play some 5,372 kilometres away five days later in an away fixture against Kazakhstan at the Turkistan Arena at 3 pm GMT.
