Mayo midfield soccer star Paul Doyle has signed a deal with NIFL Premiership side Dungannon Swifts until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Doyle, who was part of the Drogheda United side for the 2026 League of Ireland season, came through the ranks at Westport United.

The 27-year-old has also plied his trade for Sligo Rovers, UCD, and Dundalk across his ten years in the League of Ireland system.

The men from Stangmore Park will be hoping that their new man from the West can bolster their options in the middle of the turf as they aim to secure, at the very least, a play-off spot for Europa Conference League football.

Supporters of Rodney McAree's men will have to wait until Saturday evening to get a glimpse of their new signing. The Swifts will take on Glentoran at home at 3 pm.

Doyle isn't the only player from this neck of the woods to have penned a deal with a club from the NIFL. Bohola man John Mountney recently confirmed his signature for Glenavon, marking the end of his time with Bohemians.
