A young soccer star with strong Mayo connections has just signed for the a top American college.
Chloe Sarcia-Maxwell from North Carolina is already an Irish underage international and this week she agreed to continue her academic and athletic development at Appalachian State University where she will wear the number 22 shirt for 'The Mountaineers.'

Chloe is the daughter of Tina Sarcia-Maxwell and Tony Maxwell who hails from Kilgeever outside Louisburgh, where the young soccer star has a large, supportive and very proud family.
The dynamic midfielder played for the Irish U-16s against Wales and Scotland last year and caught the eye, scoring on her debut in a 4-3 victory over Wales.
Chloe has been playing the game since she was five-years-old in the Boston and North Carolina area and has made great strides. Her international prospects got a huge boost recently when she was called into the Irish U-17 squad for a training camp in Dublin.

Chloe will begin her studies and her collegiate soccer career with The Mountaineers in 2027.
