Fairview Rangers (Limerick), Saturday at 3.30 pm

This Sunday, Fairvew in Limerick will be the scene of a date with destiny for the Mayo Youth League's U-18s, as they gear up to take on the Cork Youth League in the denouement of the FAI Youth Inter-League final.

Chris McGauley’s side have conquered all before them so far in this campaign and most recently secured a dramatic and enthralling 3-1 semi-final win over the Inishowen League in Maginn Park.

This side is well-stacked, as evidenced by the impact of their bench on their jaunt to Donegal. Simeon Popov scored the equaliser to take the clash to extra time, as well as the goal to put his side two up late on.

Fellow substitute Eoghan Moran was also vital as he set up Rian Durkan for the goal to put Mayo ahead on away turf.

That said, the Cork Youth League side have been no slouches either. So far in this campaign, they have won all their games by a combined margin of 26-3.

Most recently, in their own semi-final, they ruthlessly went about their business with a 5-0 victory over their Wexford counterparts.

However, a plethora of Mayo representatives will be able to draw on no lack of experience, having already earned their stripes with Rice College.

Now, with the battle lines drawn and both coaches bouncing along the road to the Treaty City, only 90 minutes separate each side and tasting national glory.
