In Concannon Park
Ethan Hosty has got some very important goals this season, and the three he scored on Sunday morning in the sunshine of Concannon Park could be enough to keep KKU in the Super League.
For most of this match, Claremorris had most of the possession, but apart from the goals they scored, they didn’t create that much against a very solid KKU defensive unit.
Cillian Finn went up the field for a corner and headed in at the back post, to give the visitors a lead after nineteen minutes,
Dylan Roche found Conor Flynn, who did the hard work, and set up Hosty for a sweet finish, eight minutes later. Simon Butler nicked in to reduce the margin when he finished Brandon Walsh’s diagonal. Near the break, Claremorris stood off Joe Glynn as he cut through the middle to make it 3-1. Jason Murphy bicycle-kicked to the net, to make it 3-2 at the break.
Hosty added two in the second half to seal the important win. Calvin Joyce pulled one back late on, but it wasn’t enough.
