Conn Rangers were worthy winners over a weakened Kiltimagh Knock United (KKU) side in the Saturday evening drizzle. The lively Colm Rutledge found Eoin Prendergast on the left and the winger cut in and drove past Niall Walshe to put the visitors in front, close on the half hour. Rangers had started the better but KKU were back in it and the goal was against the run of play.

Five before the break, Robert Jordan equalised when his shot found that space just under the crossbar and just inside the post, making it impossible for Brian McMahon to stop. The sides looked destined to go in level at interval, but Evan Reape had other ideas. After heading over a minute before, he did the hard work himself and finished well.

Rangers dominated the second half, and full back Ciaran Brogan’s spectacular shot from distance ended the contest not long after the restart.  Rutledge added a fourth in stoppage time.
