A rugby talent from Mayo has made a huge step forward in her career.
Aoife Heaney from Claremorris Colts RFC has been selected to represent Ireland U-18 in the upcoming U-18 Six Nations Festival.
"A huge achievement and well-deserved recognition for her hard work, talent, and dedication. Best of luck to Aoife and the entire squad as they prepare to represent Ireland on the international stage," her club wrote in a statement.
Heaney has already represented Connacht Rugby and was the only Mayo player invited for the Ireland U-18 training squad.

“Her dedication, skill, and leadership on the field have earned her this incredible opportunity to train with Ireland’s top young talents as they prepare to take on the best in Europe," her club said.
The first matches of the U-18 Six Nations Festival will take place this Friday, April 11, in Belfast. Ireland take on Italy and England.
On Tuesday, April 15, the girls in green will play against Scotland and France before finishing the tournament against Wales on Saturday, April 19. All matches are played at Wellington College, Belfast.
