Speaking to The Stomping Ground on Youtube, McGregor said after the bout, "Daniel Dubois had no pressure on his shoulders coming in here, very calm very composed and it showed. He came out to go after it from the first bell."

"Joshua was throwing the same shot over and over again."

When asked then if he thinks Joshua should retire from professional boxing, McGregor responded "AJ is number 1, this is his eighth stadium here, him Eddie and Barry (The Hearns from Matchroom Boxing), he is a legend forever."

The interviewer then asked if there was a way back for AJ following the defeat. "For sure there is, he stood his ground and smacked him back and then he went forward and got caught. It is only boxing. You get caught, you catch someone. Of course he can come back."
