CHAMP. Padraig Corduff flanked by his proud coaches Tom Moran and Paul Mullen following his win in the National final.
The rise of Mayo boxing star Padraig Corduff continued at the weekend when the St Anne's fighter won the Irish U-18 80kg title in The National Stadium. The talented boxer from Westport is already a multiple national champion and his latest victory marks him out as one of the rising stars in the sport.
Already in 2024, Corduff captured a national title in January and the prestigious Haringey Cup title in London before this latest victory in Dublin.
Corduff defeated Gaway's Johnny Sweeney from Olympic BC 4-1 in the final and now goes forward for possible selection for the Irish team to box at the World Championships in Montenegro in October.
