ALERT: Irish parents warned as SHEIN recalls children's products amid serious choking risk

The Consumer and Competition Protection Commission has issued a nationwide alert as popular online retailer SHEIN has recalled two of their popular children's products across Ireland.

A safety issue has been identified with a Pacifier Lips Soother sold by a third-party seller (Huizhou Qiantai Trading Co. Ltd) on SHEIN marketplace.

The risk reported to the CCPC is of choking. The pacifier does not have sufficient ventilation holes. This may cause suffocation.

The bar code is PB2502230172059. The batch number is EXP01195. The Product identifier is sa2311078908590558.

There are approximately 66 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

A safety issue has also been identified with a puppy plush toy sold by a third-party seller (Jinhua Haibei Toys Co.Ltd) on SHEIN marketplace.

The risk reported to the CCPC is of choking. Small parts can detach from the toy and become accessible, which could pose a risk of choking by ingestion.

The batch number is prx255. The product identifier is sl2409242297217890.

There are approximately 4 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children.
