Parents and guardians are being advised that a popular baby teething product is being withdrawn from sale amid health concerns.
In a public notice, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland says a specific batch of Weleda Baby Teething Powder is being recalled due to the "possible presence of glass pieces".
Retailers have been requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale which customers are being advised they should not use the product.
The alert relates to 60g packs and the impacted batch code is 231302, with an expiry date of November 2026.

According to the FSAI, wholesalers/distributors are being requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batch and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retail customers.
Consumers who may have bought the product are advised not to administer the implicated batch to infants or children.
