An Garda Síochána now hiring social media manager role with lucrative salary
An Garda Síochána are now hiring a social media manager with a lucrative starting salary of nearly €60,000.
The role is of Higher Executive Officer level and the new hire will lead their social media strategy and manage content across seven platforms.
Applicants must hold a Level 7 qualification or have at least four years’ experience managing social media at organisational level.
This permanent role is based at Garda Headquarters in Phoenix Park, Dublin and the salary is starting from €58,264.

The Social Media Manager will take ownership of all social media channels, ensuring all accounts support An Garda Síochána’s mission to keep people safe.
The Social Media Manager will also manage the Social Media Policy, Social Media Strategy and provide social media training across An Garda Síochána.
The new hire will work closely with Office of Corporate Communications colleagues, drawing upon current resources particularly the audiovisual team.
They will also work closely with the Garda Press Office which currently supports the day-to-day output on An Garda Síochána channels.

The Social Media Manager will monitor metrics to deduce what is and isn’t working, and will introduce changes and processes to streamline activity, and ensure An Garda Síochána’s social media channels are optimised to their full potential.
The Social Media Manager will be strategic in steering content that is already being produced within the Office of Corporate Communications, towards social media, where appropriate and relevant. They will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Office of Corporate Communications to reach more audiences via social media.
Candidates by the closing date must have:
1. A minimum National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 7 relevant qualification in social media, digital communications, audiovisual production, marketing, journalism, communications, or a similar discipline.
OR
2. Demonstrate at least four years’ experience managing an organisation’s social media channels.
Candidates must also have:
Experience implementing Social Media Strategy and Social Media Policy.
A current category B full clean driving licence.
