There has been no confirmed sighting of Kyran Durnin since May of 2022.
Gardaí investigating the disappearance and murder of 8-year-old Kyran Durnin have today, Thursday, December 12, arrested a male on suspicion of murder.
The man is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the east of the country.
Investigating gardaí have also commenced searches at 2 locations, domestic houses in Drogheda.
The purpose of these searches is to discover any evidence which might provide the gardaí with information as to Kyran's current whereabouts or what has happened to him.

Kyran, who would now be eight, was reported missing in August of this year. However, gardaí established that he was last seen alive at a primary school in Dundalk in May of 2022.
Since then, there has been no confirmed sighting of him.
This news comes just one day after a woman was released without charge after being arrested on suspicion of murder in regards to the missing, now presumed dead, child.
