Jack Chambers
Jack Chambers has been announced as the new Minister for Finance.
The news has come after Michael McGrath was nominated by Government as Ireland's next European Commissioner.
The Fianna Fáil Dublin West TD was first elected to the Dáil in 2016 and was most recently a Minister of State at the Department of Transport was last week unveiled as the new deputy leader of Fianna Fáil by Micheal Martin at a press conference outside Leinster House.
Mr Chambers' formal appointment as finance minister will take place this Wednesday.
The 33-year-old served as government chief whip from 2020 to 2022.
