A MAN has been charged in connection with a violent incident which happened outside a school in Dublin last month.

A five-year-old girl was critically injured when she was stabbed at Parnell Square East at lunchtime on November 23, last.

Two other young children and a female creche worker, aged in her 30s, were also treated injuries after the knife attack.

A major garda investigation has been continuing since and a man has now been arrested and charged.

In an update, issued this Thursday, a garda spokesperson said: "A 50 year old male will appear before Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin on today’s date 21st December charged in relation to a serious incident at Parnell Square East, Dublin 1 on November 23 2023."

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
