THE NATIONAL Lottery is continuing to appeal to Lotto players in Monaghan to check their old tickets from the draw of Saturday, August 19 as a prize worth more than €1 million remains unclaimed.
The player won the €1,000,500 prize in a special Lotto Plus Raffle draw event and now has just three weeks left to claim their life-changing amount of money.
The winning Raffle number for the Saturday, August 19 draw was: 3249
Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn on the night were entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional prize of €1 million.
While every ticket holder who had the winning Raffle number won €500, one player has won €1 million, in addition to the usual €500 prize.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Thursday, August 17 at Centra on Main Street in Emyvale.
As ticketholders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prize, the claim deadline for this prize is close of business on Friday, November 17.
A National Lottery spokesperson has encouraged Lotto players all over the country who are either local to the area or who were passing through and may have purchased a Lotto ticket on Emyvale Main Street, to check their old tickets as soon as possible.
“With the claim deadline fast approaching for this Lotto Plus Raffle prize, we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that the winner comes forward very soon. A Monaghan player out there has a ticket worth a life-changing amount of €1,000,500. The player could be a local to the area or maybe even someone who was passing through Emyvale and decided to buy a ticket on their travels. We are hoping that Thursday, August 17 might ring a bell with a player out there who may have purchased their ticket in at Centra on the Main Steet in Emyvale,” they said.
“As with all of our games, ticketholders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prize which means that the winner has exactly three weeks left as the claim deadline is close of business on Friday, November 17."
The winner, who has a ticket worth €1,000,500, is advised to make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their life-changing prize in Lotto HQ.
