Investigation after man threatens female with broken bottle at busy supermarket

Gardai at Roxboro Road in Limerick are investigating

GARDAI are investigating after a man threatened a female staff member at a busy supermarket with a broken bottle. 

The incident happened on Wednesday, September 6 at 2pm at a checkout in the Tesco store at the Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick city. 

Located in the Dooradoyle area of Limerick, the shopping centre is one of the biggest in the country.

Gardai say they have received a report that a male had threatened a female staff member with a broken wine bottle. 

The man was demanding money but left the supermarket empty handed. 

Gardai in Roxboro Road are looking for witnesses to the incident.
