THE sun shone and goals rained in across Mayo as action in all the divisions kept supporters entertained and enthused.

Here, we'll bring you up to speed on all the action.

SUPER LEAGUE

Goals weren’t in short supply in the top flight, as the net was rattled a whopping 32 games across five ties.

One of those goal-laden encounters was the meeting of Ballyheane and Conn Rangers.

Adam Blake and Nathan Reilly-Doyle notched braces, while Liam Irwin, Walter Tuffy, and an unfortunate pair of Conn Rangers own-goals condemned the visitors to an 8-0 loss.

New side in the division, Claremorris, were also first-rate as they put seven past Ballinrobe Town.

Cathal Walsh and Liam McCormack were both on fire with hat-tricks, while Mark Maloney also chipped in with a net-shaker.

PREMIER LEAGUE

The second tier wasn’t lacking in big returns either.

We’ll start with the nine-goal meeting of Ballyhaunis Town and Ballyheane ‘B’. Jamie Webb opened the scoring for the Easterners, but a pair of goals including a Ryan Flynn strike had the visitors ahead.

Unfortunately for them, Jack Mahon’s own-goal restored parity near half-time, but Colm Campbell edged them in front ten minutes later.

Webb’s second had Ballyhaunis level, but the tie looked dead as Richard Finnerty put Ballyheane ‘B’ one up with little time remaining.

Then, Ballyhaunis came alive, as Lukasz Roda and Marcos Gabriel Luiz de Moraes rattled the onion bag at the death to secure the points in a breathless finish.

It was entertainment aplenty in the meeting of Westport United ‘B’ and Swinford.

Dylan Toner and Evan Rowley may have breached Finn O’Malley’s net, but Simeon Popov (2), Ted Horan (2), and Fionn McLoughlin did enough to secure a 5-2 win for United.

Ryan Moran’s double, and one apiece from John Durkan and Paul Moran eased Ballin Town ‘B’ to victory over Straide/Foxford United.

Clive Muldoon’s goal was the difference as Crossmolina ‘B’ got the better of Manulla ‘B’, while Iorras Aontaithe bested Castlebar Celtic ‘B’ in the barony thanks to Billy O’Connor’s 47th-minute strike.

LEAGUE ONE

CALLUM McDonnell’s first-half hat-trick was essential as Achill Rovers got the better of Partry Athletic. The visitors may have pulled one back in the second half, but were powerless to overturn their half-time deficit.

The meeting of Fahy Rovers and Killala was also a goal-laden one. A Tommy Muldoon double as well as one from Michael Corrigan had the visitors three up at the changeover.

Two Gareth Jordan goals in as many minutes had the Rovers in with a shout, but Stephen Morrell cooled the nerves.

Michael Sweeney (2), Kyle Hefferon, and Keelan Murphy handed Bangor Hibs a win over Claremorris ‘B’, while Kilmore and Conn Rangers ‘B’ had to settle for a draw.

LEAGUE TWO

KAYLUM Murphy may have opened the scoring for Conn Rangers ‘C’, but he was powerless as Charlestown Athletic powered to a 6-3 win on the road.

Manulla ‘B’ were also in fine fettle as they got the better of Crossmolina ‘B’ 4-2.

Dener Gesser’s goal was the difference between Ballinrobe Town ‘B’ and Fahy Rovers ‘B’. Lastly, Ballyvary Blue Bombers and Westport United ‘C’ shared a 2-2 draw.
