Mayo author celebrates shortlist success for children’s book
Author Anne Printer reaches final five in annual CAP Awards shortlist
A Mayo author is celebrating after her second children’s book, Higgle the Holly Tree, was shortlisted among the final five entries in the Junior Book category of the annual CAP Awards.
The Carousel Aware Prize for Independently Published Authors recognises independently published books across a number of categories, with Higgle the Holly Tree now in contention for the Junior Book award.
Author Anne Printer said she was delighted to receive the news this week and to see a book from Mayo progress all the way to the final.
The CAP Awards ceremony will take place at Chapters Bookshop in Dublin in October, when the overall winner will be announced.
Anne thanked readers and supporters for their continued interest in her books and said she was delighted to share the news of the shortlist success.
