Walkers will travel from Aghagower to Croagh Patrick along the historic Tóchar Phádraig this Easter Monday.
Walkers and pilgrims in Co Mayo are invited to secure their place for this year’s Half Tóchar Walk, taking place on Easter Monday along the historic Tóchar Phádraig.
Organised by the Tóchar Phádraig Group, the 17km guided pilgrimage offers participants a chance to retrace part of the ancient route traditionally associated with Saint Patrick.
The journey will begin with registration at 10am at Ballintubber Abbey, before walkers are transported by bus to Aghagower, where the walk officially starts. Participants will then make their way back along the scenic route to the Abbey.
The event is fully guided, with organisers providing a support vehicle, as well as water and refreshments along the route to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Described as more than just a walk, the pilgrimage invites participants to step away from the pace of everyday life and reflect on the spiritual and historical significance of the route.

Organisers say the event is about embracing the journey itself, offering a meaningful experience for both seasoned walkers and those taking part for the first time.
With limited places remaining, those interested are encouraged to register online as soon as possible to avoid missing out on what promises to be a memorable Easter Monday experience in the heart of Mayo.
