Busy road in Offaly closed for road works today

Motorists in north Mayo are being advised to expect minor delays next week as pavement reinstatement works are carried out on the L1105 at Rake Street, south of Crossmolina.

Mayo County Council has confirmed that the works will take place over two days, from Monday, February 23 to Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Traffic management measures, including the use of temporary traffic lights, will be in operation for the duration of the works. While the council has indicated that only minor delays are expected, road users are advised to allow extra travel time and to proceed with caution in the area.

The council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their cooperation while the essential works are being completed.
