The Virginia Gallagher Memorial Trophy is presented to the Mayo Person of the Year.
It has been announced that the Burlington Hotel in Dublin will host the annual Mayo Association awards ceremony on Saturday, April 18.
The Mayo Association Dublin will host its annual awards dinner to celebrate the Virginia Gallagher Mayo Person of the Year and the Paddy Joe Moran Meitheal Award.
Last year, Westport native Michael Ring was the popular winner of the Mayo Person of the Year award while the SOLAS centre in Erris was awarded with the Meitheal Award.
Nominations for both awards are open until Wednesday, March 18. Nomination forms are available on the association's website at mayoassociationdublin.com or can be requested from the following email address: secretary@mayoassociationdublin.com. Details of tickets for the event can also be found here or can be requested by emailing treasurer@mayoassociation.com.
