Embrace FARM, a support network for farm families, has announced that its third annual Wear Our Wellies (WOW) Day will take place on Friday, February 6.
The charity is encouraging schools, businesses, community groups and individuals across Mayo and beyond to take part by wearing their wellington boots on the day and making a donation to Embrace FARM.
The fundraiser aims to raise both awareness and vital funds to support farm families affected by serious injury or sudden death.
Last year’s WOW Day raised more than €6,000, which helped Embrace FARM provide emotional and practical assistance to farming families across Ireland.

Speaking about the initiative, Embrace FARM co-founder Norma Rohan said the organisation was encouraged by the level of support shown in previous years.
“This unique fundraiser lets us connect with both farming and non-farming communities, allowing us to highlight the impact a serious injury or sudden death has on a farming family and the broader farming community.”
