What weather is Mayo expecting on Christmas Day?

With the big day just around the corner and families across Mayo putting the last touches on their Christmas plans, many will be keeping an eye on the weather forecast for the big day.

Thankfully, it appears that wind and rain won't be an issue for Santa as he prepares to drop off presents for the children of the county.

Those looking for a white Christmas, though, will be disappointed as chances are thin on the ground.

Met Éireann predicts sun and clear skies for Thursday, December 25, with temperatures during the day set to range from 2ºC to 5ºC.

Temperatures are set to head below freezing as December 26 comes over the horizon.
