A series of vibrant Oíche na hÓige youth events took place in Mayo, in Balla and Kilmovee, for example, and across Sligo, and Leitrim.

Oíche na hÓige, an initiative of the Department of Education and Youth in partnership with Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB is a national celebration highlighting the vibrant network of youth clubs, services, workers, and volunteers supporting young people across Ireland.

Volunteer-led youth clubs and UBU projects proudly showcased their work to their local communities, MSLETB and Public Representatives.

The events placed young people at the centre — with youth acting as MCs, sharing their experiences, and showcasing display boards that highlighted their wide range of initiatives they participated in throughout the year.

Guests were invited to enjoy tea and refreshments as they mingled and celebrated the creativity, leadership, and contributions of local young people. Roll on Oíche na hÓige 2027.
