ALERT: Mayo urged to prepare as Met Éireann issue weather warning

Met Éireann issued the warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Cavan, and Sligo, with the alert coming into effect from 10 pm today (Tuesday, September 16))

People in Mayo are being urged to prepare for a period of rough weather conditions in the wake of the latest Met Éireann weather warning for the county.

The Status Yellow warning for heavy rainfall comes into effect at 10 pm this evening (Tuesday, September 16), and runs until 5 am tomorrow morning (Wednesday, September 16).

Those who are driving during these times are being urged to exercise caution in difficult conditions, while localised flooding is also possible as a result of the inclement conditions.

The warning is also in place for Galway, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, and Cavan, and comes of the back of extreme downpours on Monday also.

Those who are interested in finding out more information on the warning for blustery showers can do so here.
