Mayo will be buzzing with activity as Culture Night gets underway on Friday, September 19. An annual, all-island public event which takes place each year on the second last Friday of September, Culture Night celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and everyday. Among the events making up this year’s programme are a range of multicultural events, jazz, contemporary, and traditional music events, opportunities for discussion, film screenings, craft workshops, book readings, and more.

As part of Culture Night 2025, Mayo will play host to two special Culture Night Late Events: The Ballina Laneways Music Trail and The Margaret Burke Sheridan Culture Night Trail. Living up to its theme of 'One Night For All', Culture Night really has something for everyone. The programme for Culture Night 2025 in Mayo was launched on Tuesday, September 2, with a photocall for event organisers, Mayo County Councillors and staff, and other stakeholders at the library in Castlebar.
