Moore's work will be available to view from September 6 until November 1.
Mayo visual artist Katie Moore is set to showcase her Multimedia Exhibition, 'The Push And Pull' from this Saturday, September 6 until November 1, at the Concourse Gallery in Ballina Arts Centre.
Detailing her lived experience as a mother in the West of Ireland, Katie says her work is rooted in the beauty of what surrounds her: “The work explores different things about motherhood: tenderness, tension, and moments of connection. The Push and Pull. It’s almost like the ebb and flow of motherhood.”

Katie says: “It’s great for people to come in, view the work and get what they want from it. They can take what they like from it.”

Moore detailed where she drew inspiration from this work during COVID times: “I was out walking a lot during this time. Nature and my environment in the West of Ireland played heavy on my inspiration during this time.”
Katie says her discovery started in a simple way, by just capturing “everyday moments.”
The Concourse Gallery at Ballina Arts Centre is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 6pm. Admission is free. All of Katie Moore’s work is available online at: www.katiemoorevisualartist.com.
