Patrick’s mother, Marie, has roots in the West, with some family in the parish of Kilmovee.
Late last week, Patrick chose to visit the Emerald Isle to explore his cultural ties, when he and his partner, Linda Purl, ventured to Kilmovee as part of filming for a documentary starring the pair as they explore his Irish ancestry.
"It was amazing to be part of Patrick's journey, connecting with his heritage right here in our community,” the Kilmovee Community Centre wrote on social media. “Both Patrick and Linda were absolutely wonderful; so warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They took photos with our entire team and made everyone feel special.”
