In total, €23 million has been awarded nationwide in order to tackle what the government views as a pressing social issue.
The news of this financial support was welcomed by Minister for State, Alan Dillon.
“This scheme funds essential home modifications for people with mobility or disability needs,” Dillon stated in the wake of the announcement.
“These include minor adaptations like stair-lifts, ramps, and grab rails, larger projects such as extensions to reduce overcrowding, as well as creating accessible spaces like a downstairs bedroom, en-suite, or wet-room.”
