The idyllic setting of The Lodge at Ashford Castle played host to an important event on Friday afternoon, as the Ladies’ Lunch fundraiser in aid of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice took place.
The event was attended by the likes of RTÉ’s ‘Prime Time’ host Miriam O’Callaghan as well as Professor Afif EL-Khuffash, a leading paediatrician at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.

The 200 women who attended the seventh edition of the sold-out lunch started their day with a drinks reception on the banks of Lough Corrib, as well as a fashion show and a panel hosted by Ms O’Callaghan.
For the Mayo Roscommon Hospice CEO Martina Jennings, the event was a resounding success: “Our annual ladies lunch is always a sell-out, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the local community,” she stated.
“Events like this help us fund and develop essential palliative care services across Mayo and Roscommon.
“Everyone deserves the very best care, and we are committed to walking that journey with them every step of the way.”
