Mayo County Council has revealed that the Great Western Greenway is set to close this Thursday.
The closure announced on Friday, February 14, will see the entirety of the Greenway walking and cycling trail closed to members of the public for February 20.

The routes affected are the Castlebar to Turlough National Museum of Country Life route, the Monasteries of the Moy route, and the Westport to Achill route.
We wish to advise that the Great Western Greenway Walking & Cycling Trail will be CLOSED to the public for one day on Thursday 20th of February 2025.
