THREE secondary schools are currently flying the Mayo flag at this year’s BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin.
The all-girls Mount St Michael in Claremorris are represented by 12 students who have entered eight projects; five in the intermediate age group, two in the senior grade and one in junior.
Their projects include a technological solution for teacher training in the management of student diabetes and an evidence-based study on the development and effectiveness of a mobile app for Myopia prevention and eye health enhancements.
Ballinrobe Community School and St Patrick’s College are the other two Mayo schools entered in this year’s BT Young Scientist Exhibition, which includes entries from hundreds of students from all over the country.
The 2025 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition awards will take place in the RDS in Dublin until, Saturday, January 11.
