The West Bar and Restaurant is located at the bottom of Bridge Street in Westport.
A popular bar and restaurant in Westport has announced that it is to close from tomorrow, January 6, for the rest of the month.
The West Bar and Restaurant has enjoyed a very busy Christmas period but in a statement sent to The Mayo News, the proprietor Martin Brennan said they are closing for three weeks in January 'to get internal works and improvements done'.
“We are approaching our 4th year back in business here at The West and we are again closing for 3 weeks in January, from January 6 to January 31, to get internal works and improvements done,” said Martin, who added that he would like to take this opportunity to wish all his valued customers and the general public a very healthy and happy new year.
“We are overwhelmed by the support we've received this Christmas and delighted to see the success of the new kitchen downstairs. The last piece of the jigsaw is a small extension to the function room upstairs. Look forward to seeing you all in February,” added Martin.
