There is a yellow warning from midnight tonight
A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued across Mayo tomorrow, with a washout weekend expected.
The warning is set from midnight tonight to midnight on Sunday morning, October 6.
Mayo County Council have warned that heavy and persistent rain may lead to localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.
The rain is set to clear on Sunday and clear for some sunny spells.
Other parts of the country are expecting Orange weather conditions, particularly in the south.
The weekend will see the highest temperatures in Mayo reach 16 degrees and lowest temperatures to hit nine degrees.
Heading into next week, Monday is set to be cloudy before a rainy Tuesday, with things expected to improve as the week goes on.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is asking road users to exercise caution while using the roads on Saturday.
The following advice is being given to road users on foot of the weather warnings.
