Business start-up bootcamp to take place in Mayo

The Local Enterprise Office is set to host a three session 'Start Your Own Business Bootcamp' in Mayo next month.

The course, which covers all the topics you need to start your own business for €30, will take place on October 3, 10 and 17 from 6-9pm in Breaffy House Hotel.

Delivered by Padraig Considine of Professional Accounting Solutions Limited, session one will prepare participants who are thinking of starting up their own business to develop an awareness and practical understanding of the steps involved in becoming self-employed and starting up their own business, such as costs, pricing and target audience.

In session two, Mr Considine will focus the session on how to market your new start-up or business with little or no budget, discussing several marketing techniques including SWOT analysis, market research, and digital marketing trends.

The final session will cover important topics like Business plan, name registration and insurance, different ways to trade, running a business from home, and opening a business bank account.

An easy-to-understand manual will be provided to each participant before beginning the course which includes practical information and guidance, comprehensive notes, together with templates and links for future reference.
