MAYO podcaster Alan Clarke has celebrated a major milestone by raising over €12,000 for one of the country's leading children’s charities.

The ‘Big News Coming Soon Podcast’ host raised €12,695 for the Jack & Jill Children Children’s Foundation in 24 hours after reaching 200,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram.

In partnership with Cannonball 2024, the popular Mayo man decided to celebrate his achievement by asking his followers to ‘skip a coffee or a pint this weekend’ and donate to the charity to help sick children and their families in need.

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation are currently supporting 414 families across Ireland through a range of services, including in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of six.

Over 800 people have donated to Mr Clarke’s fundraiser so far, with every €18 providing one hour of in-home care for families. This means that 705 hours of much-needed care have been funded so far by this fundraiser.
