This event is always a visual spectacle, as athletes compete against massive waves in storm force winds.

Competitors are scored on their extreme jump and wave riding skills which has spectators calling it a mix of surfing and motocross on water!

This year’s event is sponsored by RWE renewables who share a passion for protecting the environment whilst harnessing the power of wind energy that is so abundant in county Mayo.
