Road closure for major project set to last until late 2026 - Mayo County Council

The L14025-0 in Cahergall will be closed from it's junction with the N59 to the junction with the L1402-0 at the Western Way Bangor Trail as part of the Derradda to Newport Road Project

Mayo County Council have confirmed that a 500-metre stretch of road will be closed for a period of five months to facilitate a large-scale route upgrade in the area.

The Council intends to close the L-14025-0 in Cahergall as part of the wider N59 Derradda to Newport Road Project.

The local road, from the N59 junction to the junction with the L-1402-0 (Western Way Bangor Trail), will be closed from 8 am on Wednesday, April 8.

The closure will last until 5 pm on Tuesday, September 8.

Local access to all four properties and any land on the stretch of road will be provided, while a diversion will be available using the L-1402-0.
