Five-star hotel Ashford Castle has appointed a new Director of Food and Beverage.

The Forbes rated five-star luxury hotel in Cong announced the appointment of Dermot Fetton as its new Food and Beverage director. 

A seasoned hospitality professional with over 35 years of experience, the Wexford man will bring to the castle his expertise from a career that has spanned both Michelin-starred restaurants and renowned five-star hotels in Ireland. 

Mr Fetton began his hospitality journey in 1989 with Cert, the Irish government’s tourism training agency. Over the decades, he has developed his skills in both one- and two-star Michelin establishments, gaining invaluable experience and a deep understanding of operational excellence in hospitality. 

His career journey also includes leadership roles at prestigious properties such as Castlemartyr Resort and more recently, Dromoland Castle Hotel and Resort, where he was restaurant manager. 

The commitment Mr Fetton has to standards of excellence together with his passion for hospitality have made him a respected figure in the industry, known for his empathetic leadership style and mentorship.
