The shows will take place adjacent to Carrowmore Beach in Louisburgh.
Louisburgh Sheep Show takes place in conjunction with the Louisburgh Horse Show on this Sunday, July 21 at the Carrowmore show grounds.
This year promises to be the biggest sheep show to date, with up to 50 classes taking place. Organisers are delighted to once again be hosting the North Connacht Texel Club in their competition classes.
The show expects to host a fantastic variety of breeds and members from many different societies, including the Mayo Black Face Group, South of Ireland Blue Faced Leicester Club, South of Ireland Lanark Sheep Breeders, Swaledale Sheep Breeders, the Mayo Mule and Greyface Group and the Irish Valais Blacknose Group. There are also classes for Zwartbles, Chevots, Breckets and Crossbreds.
The sheep show starts promptly at 11am, with entries to be taken on the day. Registration opens from 10am sharp. All entrants are encouraged to be there early. All animals must be tagged and competitors are required to have their dispatch book with them on the day.
The Louisburgh Horse Show, located at the Carrowmore beach, is expected to welcome a large crowd on Sunday, July 21.
They have a fantastic line-up planned, including show-jumping, horse and pony show class competitions and qualifiers, a dog show, best dressed lady, kids entertainment, music and dancing with Joe Forde and much more.
Louisburgh Horse Show are delighted to announce that Mid West Radio will be broadcasting from the show grounds on the day.
