Portwest celebrated 120 years in business with a special in-store event last week at their flagship store in Westport. Founded in 1904 by Charles Hughes in Westport, Portwest has grown into a global leader, employing over 5,000 people worldwide.
The event was a resounding success, blessed with sunny weather that contributed to a lively atmosphere in the store. Customers visited throughout the day to enjoy free goody bags, take advantage of excellent discounts on Portwest products, purchase a commemorative 120-year Portwest jacket for only €19.04, request their favorite songs on Mid West radio, and participate in a monster charity raffle supporting Westport Autism Friendly Town.
Portwest Retail Managing Director Rachel Davoren expressed her delight, stating: “Hosting our in-store event on Saturday, May 18, to celebrate 120 years since Charles Hughes founded Portwest was a privilege. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to our customers. The event generated great energy and excitement in the store. Additionally, our charity partnership with Westport Autism Friendly Town was a significant highlight, allowing them to raise awareness and funds throughout the day. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our amazing customers who joined us and made the event a tremendous success.”
