Africa Day will take place at Ballinrobe Racecourse next Saturday afternoon.

Plans are now well advanced for Africa Day 2024 in Mayo. Africa Day celebrates the richness of African cultures and the contribution of people of African descent to Irish life. This exciting festival will take place on Saturday, May 25, at Ballinrobe Racecourse and promises to be an immersive and interactive experience for people of all ages.

The festival brings many Mayo communities together to celebrate with singing, music, art, cultural workshops and dance. Don't miss out on this opportunity to celebrate the unique and wonderful cultures of Africa.

There will be over twenty performers from Africa, Jamaica, Brazil, and Ireland.

All are invited to come together to celebrate culture, to nurture respect and freedom of expression and to share this day with all communities.

There is something for everyone to enjoy. DJ Mtoolz will be spinning his decks throughout the day, there are performances and well-known musicians, local singers, artists and drummers who will get everyone dancing.

This year's event takes place in Ballinrobe Racecourse on Saturday next from 1pm to 5pm. It is a free event and everyone is welcome.
