Sage restaurant in Westport made the list
The most talked about restaurants in Mayo have been revealed.
Betfair Casino lifted the lid on the most popular spots across several locations in Ireland, including county Mayo.
Five eateries made it onto the list, with three tied in the top spot.
An Port Mór, The Helm, Sage Restaurant, all Westport restaurants, took first place on the list, with second place going to The Tavern, Murrisk and J.J O'Malleys, also of Westport, taking the bronze.
Located in the coastal town, An Port Mór is a local restaurant using the finest Irish ingredients cooked to perfection.
Nestle down at Westport Quay, The Helm also prides itself on delivering Irish hospitality with contemporary culinary delights.
As for Sage Restaurant, diners can expect contemporary Irish cuisine and seafood in the High Street restaurant, including Mayo lamb rump and seafood linguine.
In the perfect post-climb position, on the foot of Croagh Patrick, The Tavern offers fabulous, homely food at reasonable prices.
J.J O’Malley’s on Bridge Street is the ideal spot for delicious dinner and a good night out. O'Malleys offer a lively venue with an ‘olde world’ restaurant upstairs, and music and DJ’s in the downstairs bar.
Popularity was measured with a unique index score generated by TripAdvisor rankings, the amount of reviews, the percentage of excellent reviews, as well as the number of Instagram hashtags.
